Located in the Annisquam section of Gloucester, the house was completed in July 2004. It is fully furnished with lots of amenities. It is not directly on the water, but it is the perfect location. You have the use of two semi-private (association members only) beaches. It is less than a minute walk to the Diamond Cove rocky beach where you can swim, dive, launch your kayak or just sit and watch the beautiful sunset. It is about a five minute walk to the Annisquam Lighthouse sandy beach.
Downstairs is an open living/dining/kitchen area with lots of windows and a gas fireplace. There is a guest bath and a bedroom with a private bath. There is a deck on the back that overlooks the woods. The second floor has three bedrooms, a bath and a laundry room. From the third floor you can catch a glimpse of the ocean. It is a large open space with a den area around a gas fireplace. There is a game and TV area, and an extra sleep sofa and a third bathroom.

There is a lot to do in this area, but the best thing is you don't have to do anything! The house is completely furnished and for the convenience of our long distance renters, we operate on a use-it-up and replace-it system for all the staple items such as salt, pepper, detergent, condiments, etc. You don't have to spend a lot of time and money buying something you will only use once and leave behind.
Gloucester is the oldest working seaport and art colony in America, and it is one of the top five whale watching areas in the world. The activities are endless. Charter fishing, hiking, kayaking, antiquing, birding (one of the top areas in the US), sunset schooner cruises, theaters, museums, tours and there is a mountain bike trail nearby. There are many great local restaurants. Best of all, the beaches and sunsets are beautiful. Gloucester is only 45 minutes by commuter train or car to Boston.
