If you are dreaming of a vacation in the sun, sand and surf of the Bahamas, but don't want packaged tours, crowded beaches and busy hotels, if you just want to get away from it all, then our stone house in Bennett's Harbour, Cat Island my be perfect for you. Our home is located directly on a beautiful beach, in a cove, leeward side of the island, very private and secluded. It is a 1,400 sq ft house, and is fully maintained and in excellent condition at all times..It has two bedrooms, king size beds,Two open-up beds, LR with fireplace, DR which seats six, Kitchen and full bath.17ftx47ft patio which overlooks the beach & has a Gas BBQ, plus lounge chairs & table.
A/C is not needed as there is always a tropical breeze blowing thru the sliding, screened doors and windows..All rooms have overhead fans.
Cat Island is well known for it's excellent bone fishing..Deep sea fishing is available.
A wonderful native restaurant is about a three minute ride away...Also many more restaurants located along the island.
A vacation on Cat Island is an escape from all things annoying. It is all about fun in the sun, and Cat Island sets the standards.

| All amenities can be found in our home, such as....coffee maker, microwave, blender, toaster, electric stove top, washing machine, iron, hairdryer, pots & pans, linens, TV/VCR cassette with large selection of movies, and CD Player.
We have a vehicle for rent by the week.

| There are a lot of great day trips to take. You can visit The Hermitage, which was built by Fr. Jerome and located at the highest elevation in all the Bahamas...Just a short climb up a lmttle hill. When you reach the top, you can see just about all of Cat Island. A must see..Bring your camera. (Remember, not all kinds of film are found on Cat so come prepared).
There are also private caves and long ocean front beaches that you can explore.
